Signal Flares Inc. cannot export its product outside of Canada. Signal Flares Inc does not ship dangerous goods to residential addresses. The purchaser acknowledges and agrees that he/she shall not transfer, deliver or send Signal Flares Inc. products outside the jurisdiction of Canada for any purpose. Further, the purchaser represents and warrants that he/she is over the age of 18 and has sufficient training in the handling, transportation, use and discharge of the cartridges and the flare pistols. Additional shipping fees of up to $15 CDN may be applicable.

No returns are permitted without the written authorization of a representative of Signal Flares Inc. Complaints regarding product or return of product must be received within 15 days of receipt of goods. Please contact us to find out more.

In the event that the user/purchaser utilize acts which constitute improper handling, transportation or use of any pistol or cartridge (products of Signal Flares Inc.), Signal Flares Inc. shall assume no responsibility, liability for any type of damages to the purchaser/user or third party and shall make no indemnification payments. The purchaser/users agree they shall be liable for any damage or injury that may be caused to themselves, or to any third party including property damage and shall indemnify Signal Flares Inc. and its directors and employees from any claim, including any legal action, regarding the use, discharge, transportation or operation of Signal Flares Inc. products while in the possession or control of the purchaser/user.

Interest shall accrue on overdue accounts of more than 30 days at the rate of 1.5% per month until paid in full.

Signal Flares Inc. will at its sole discretion either repair or replace product which constitute flare pistols at no charge to the customer, provided the product is returned securely packaged, shipped prepaid and accompanied by a copy of the invoice with its original packaging. The warranty period for all flare pistols for a period of 6 months from the date the goods are received from Signal Flares Inc. Product defects or damages resulting from or connected with misuse, abuse, neglect, or improper handling or storage by the purchaser/user is not covered by any warranty. Signal Flares Inc. shall be the sole party to assess and determine whether the defect is as a result of the manufacture issue, or misuse as hereinbefore described. Prior to shipment of the product for repair, customers shall obtain an RMA (Return Material Authorization) number. The RMA number will be provided to the customer after successfully contacting Signal Flares Inc. customer service.

The purchaser/user of Signal Flares Inc. products shall adhere to the following guidelines:

(a) No person shall use Signal Flares Inc. product that is under the age of 18 or to permit a person under the age of 18 to utilize such products.

(b) Any purchaser/buyer of such products shall have sufficient training with respect to the operation, use, transportation and storage of such products.

(c) Signal Flares Inc. products shall not discharged within a confined structure including a building or vehicle or directed at any occupied building, person or wildlife.

(d) The purchaser/user is cautioned in relation to using the Signal products under environmental conditions and circumstances where the Signal products may land in dry, forested areas or grass conditions such as to cause a fire.

(e) Cartridges shall not be exposed to continuous sunlight (for example, leaving on a dashboard of a vehicle) or stored near an open flame or heat source.

(f) The Signal products including the flare pistol and cartridges shall be securely locked or storage when not in use to prevent accidental use by a stranger, person under the age of 18 or any person who is not trained in the use and discharge of the Signal product.

(g) The purchaser/user understands the Signal products are not toys and should not be utilized for entertainment purposes or to use them for the purpose of threatening or endangering any individual, or wildlife or in any environmental conditions.

IMPORTANT: Bear Beware Plus Bear Deterrent &/or Bear Beware Bear Deterrent should not be sold to individuals under the age of 18, or to individuals not willing to complete this form. Bear repellent products are registered under the Pest Control Products Act; it is illegal to use a pest control product without following label directions:

WARNING: Capsicum sprays have proven effective in repelling aggressive bears only when sprayed directly in the eyes and nose, and should be used only as a last resort. Capsicum sprays will not repel bears from treated objects or areas, and may result in increased investigation of sites by bears. Canisters should not be test fired in areas inhabited by bears. If canister has been test fired, all residues of the product should be washed from the canister nozzle and cap with soap and water before being transported to areas inhabited by bears.

This product is sold without warranty, expressed or implied. No warranty or representation is made as to this product’s ability to protect the user from injury or death. Remember, there is no guaranteed method of responding to a bear attack; each encounter is unique. The user assumes all risks when confronted by a bear.
